Summer time!

Fun was had by all. And all four making the "cut" was a pretty big deal.

Papa M had these two in giggles. If you look close she's got one arm around her little brother to keep him safe.

Of course he found a "nook" to eat a snack in.

No children were hurt in this visit!

Gone Fishin'

This is what Happens when you watch Where the Red Fern Grows on a warm Sunday afternoon. Adrianna found some clam shells. Ethan found rocks to throw.

There were two buzzards that made quite the show for us. It was definitely a highlight for the kids. They were determined and so comical while we watched and cars passed by.

We had a wonderful time.

We took this shot of Ethan and the sun for dad. It was his favorite part of the movie.

Of course the ladies stopped to smell the flowers. Adrianna was so cute to make sure she never stepped on any of them.

The boys explored the bank, and Ethan threw rock after rock.

7 with Spunk

We celebrated Alex's 7th birthday and he has grown in more ways than one this last year. Special thanks to Gramma Morgan for making the cake and Daddy for decorating it like a dino. Here he is directing his birthday song for us. We love learning more and more about Alex each passing year. And his natural talent for making people laugh is so fun. I heard this whole parenting phase is over in a blink of an eye. So I hope I don't miss the ride! It was only a few years ago....

A New Season

She was a vision in pink....

This is the begining of the Little Mommy stage for our only princess. I am sooooooo excited. It is amazing how natural she plays with her baby, now named "Aubrey". Thanks to everyone who came and made her birthday so special! We love you all.

Busted

Have you ever invited a new family over for dinner and found yourself totally cleaning out the house. I was dusting, moping, vacuuming, bathrooms-the works. Then come to find out they never got the message and were out of town. LOL I felt a tiny bit convicted my family wasn't my motives, but they still ended up with a fresh home. Then our scripture for the week was Do all things cheerfully and whole heatedly as unto the Lord, not unto men. That "not unto men", you can highlight! Sometimes this is

Men: I have a responsibilities, suck it up ...one more time with feeling.

Sometimes it's Men: I did it! will I get any acknowledgement?

When I let the Word of God decide what I do and why, men (people and their response) have nothing to do with it. Which means I get grace for the days there's just nothing to "suck up" and every good day with all my efforts and dust bunnies get written in eternity. My family and friends have no obligation to pat me on the back, just the joy of walking in a home cleaned by a woman who loves Jesus. Or loves the grace of Jesus: depending on what week you catch me ;)

Last weekend we had a wedding in Austin. I had the best time with some of our precious Marine Corp family. The kids had an incredible time with GG. Here are some hats from Magic time machine they all wanted to show off.
So Cute! (that's a hershey's kiss on her head)
This is my husband (left) "fishing" for Cpl. S

Nice, isn't it?

He's with me!

He looked like one of those English guards, I couldn't resist playing around.
